We sincerely believe that God equips all believers to serve in ministry. In 1 Peter 2:9, God calls his followers “a royal priesthood”, and 1 Corinthians 12:1 says that “God gives (spiritual gifts) to each one, just as he determines.” We sometimes use the term “volunteers” as a convenient way of referring to those who serve, but what we’re really talking about is people who lovingly respond to Jesus’ call to serve in his ministry.
The body of Christ functions at it’s maximum effectiveness when every member is serving and building up one another.That’s what Ephesians 4:16 shows us…
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” (NLT)
What a beautiful picture of how the church is supposed to function! God desires for us to fit together perfectly. He desires for us to be healthy and growing and full of love! And the only prerequisite for those things to happen is this: that “each part does its own special work.”
God has given YOU the opportunity to make the church stronger and healthier! God created YOU for a special work within the body of Christ…in the church! Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) describes it this way: For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
God has uniquely shaped and designed you for ministry – yes, even you! Bethel is so delighted you are here! If you have already been serving in ministry or this is all new for you we are excited to have the opportunity to partner together.
