Small Groups

Here at Bethel, we place a high value on relationships!  We know God didn’t create us to be alone; he created us to thrive in authentic community.  That’s what our small group ministry is all about!

Jesus had the first small group ministry with his 12 disciples – he broke bread with them, he prayed with them, he shared his journey with them as He fulfilled God’s assignment for His life.  That’s exactly what our small groups are like.

And remember, the disciples weren’t a flawless group of guys, either!  They had plenty of issues but they found a place to belong with Jesus.  Our hope is that you can find the same thing in one our small groups – a place to belong.  And we know that once you can find that, then you’ll also be in an atmosphere where you can begin to believe, become who God designed you to be, and build the Kingdom of God.  And there you have it – our small groups help us fulfill the 4B Mission – Bethel is a people who belong, believe, become, and build.

Whether you want to join a home-fellowship, a support group, a Bible study for men, a mom’s day out, or a group which helps us learn how to manage our finances more effectively, the Small Groups Ministry will provide a “safe place” for you to be yourself, while allowing God to transform your life. Small Groups center around common needs which include hobbies, talents, marriage improvement, physical fitness, entrepreneurship or simply hangin’ out together for dinner and a movie.  It is a real life-giving process of helping one another build God’s Kingdom on earth, one person at a time.

If you don’t know where to start, we recommend getting into our Discipleship Pipeline.  It’s made up of 4 classes that are offered each semester that are designed to give you jumpstart in your life and in becoming part of the Bethel family.  Click below for a description of each of the Pipeline Classes.

This group meets for 7 weeks and during our 5th week, we just relax and enjoy a Potluck meal together.

Through spiritual transformation and learning how to apply the Word of God to your everyday life, you will grow and develop into the man or woman God desires you to be. After completing the 12 sessions, participants are invited to an Encounter Retreat held at Bethel for 1 1/2 days. Group fees: Curriculum book/DVD’s are $10.00, $15.00 per couple.

SHAPE: Illustrated with rela-life stories, this inspiring and deeply insightful book guides you through a series of challenges that will help you uncover your God-given S.H.A.P.E.-your unique blend of Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences. You will learn how to use your gifts as a vital member of the Body of Christ and as a witness with confidence, clarity, and compassion.

Bait of Satan: Are you struggling with forgiveness? Have you been hurt or have you hurt someone else? Jesus said that “offenses” would come. Bait of Satan is a powerful biblical-based curriculum that teaches us how to let go of the past. It focuses on how to forgive others as well as ourselves. You will learn to view relationships from God’s perspective, which will help us live a life free of bitterness and anger. It is possible. You can live a life free from participating in offense.

Each semester (there are 3 each year), you will have the opportunity on Rally Day to ask questions and explore the different groups available as they have tables set up before and after each service.  The next Rally Day is September 11th, and then the Fall Semester starts on September 14th.   Come on, get connected this Fall and see how your life will take on a whole new meaning as YOU Belong, Believe, Become, and Build with us!
